Description
On March 1 and 2, the Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL) will host the "13th ANNUAL HIGH-TECH CONFERENCE FOR SMALL BUSINESS" at the Westin Los Angeles Airport Hotel located at 5400 West Century Blvd., Los Angeles, CA. The two-day Conference focuses on subcontracting and marketing opportunities for small, minority, women-owned, and Veteran-owned businesses in the high-tech industry. During the Marketplace, one-on-one counseling opportunities are available with over 200 Exhibitors (prime contractors, government agencies, educational institutions, and other major organizations) to discuss business opportunities for small businesses. Several "How-to" Workshops are also offered to present up-to-date information on major programs, small business initiatives, and other small business-related topics of interest. Our keynote speaker for March 1 is Dr. Julian Earls of NASA's John H. Glenn Research Center at Lewis Field. Two networking receptions will provide opportunities to meet key people. A registration fee of $100 per person is due no later than February 16, 2001. Pre-registration is advised as this event is well attended. For hotel accommodations, contact the Westin directly at (310) 216-5858. For further conference details, please visit our web site at http://acquisition.jpl.nasa.gov/boo/hightech2001.htm or call the Conference Registration Desk directly at (818) 354-7532.
