Description

The Department of Transportation/Transportation Administrative Service Center (TASC) intends to award a sole source contract to the National Safety Council (NSC) of Itasca, IL in support of the Bureau of Transportation Statistics (BTS). The National Saftey Council was chartered by Congress to serve as the premier source of safety and heatlh information in the United States, as well as an objective and impartial intermediary between industry, government, and non-governement public interest groups. The contract is for services required by BTS that can only be provided by NSC such as access to comprehensive safety and health data that is solely maintained by NSC, access and facilitation between a vast network of Law Enforcement Agencies and BTS, and access and facilitation between a wide range of safety and health experts and BTS. This notice is not a request of offers from other sources. See Note 22.
