- Description
- The purpose of this amendment is to answer a question received concerning the requirement for Information Technology Professional Services in support of NASA's Integrated Financial Management (IFM) Program Integration Office and provide further elaboration of this procurement requirement. Question: Would you tell us what languages, platform(s), and budget allocation you will be using? Answer: NASA is implementing commercial off-the-shelf enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems and will not be developing custom solutions. Although "languages" may be relevant in application integration scenarios, NASA will strive to utilize commercial enterprise application integration (EAI) solutions. NASA has not made decisions regarding platforms at this time. Funds are available for this seven (7) month effort. This procurement requirement is for the support and definition of the IFM Program's integration capabilities. Research, analysis and advisory services will be provided as it relates to the organization, technology and processes that support the IFM Program. Expertise in defining strategic approaches on the design and implementation of the various architectural components of the Program based on industry best practices, methods, and in-house research shall be provided, as well as technology research to create insight and expertise in technology strategic and tactical solutions in areas like ERP software, web services, IT security, enterprise middleware, enterprise application integration technologies, data warehouse, and infrastructure hardware and software for servers, mainframes, and desktops. As a result of this amendment, the closing date remains unchanged.
