- Description
- The Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division (NAWCWD), China Lake, CA, is soliciting proposals on a full and open competitive basis from qualified organizations to award a contract to provide a Video Reading System (VRS) whose basic functions are (l) to read the coded data contained in the video DIV (Data In Video) image, (2) to obtain the field by field x and y coordinated with respect to the optic axis, and (3) to convert this information into azimuth and elevation data for the track point of interest from data recorded on a Super VHS tape from a Kineto Tracking mount (KTM). VRS source code should reside on the delivered system. The contract may include options such as Six Degree of Freedom Attitude Solution, Training, Software Maintenance, Hardware Maintenance, and Source Code License. The government wants limited ownership of the source code for the sole purpose of maintaining and upgrading the system's capabilities. Specifications and Video Standards and Formats are included as attachments to the Statement of Work. Delivery shall be 90 days after contract award and shall be FOB Destination at NAWCWD, China Lake, CA. The NAICS Code is 334220, the size standard is 750 and the contract will be awarded as a commercial item in accordance with FAR Part 13.5 procedures. The solicitation will be issued on or about 1 February 2001 and will be available through the 2.0 Contracts Competency home page at: http://www.nawcwpns.navy.mil/~contract/homepubl.htm.
