Description
The National Park Service intends to issue a Request for Proposal (RFP) for a Utility Landing Craft to be operated by Cumberland Island National Seashore, St.Marys, Georgia. The required minimum craft characteristics are as follows: length overall not to exceed 65.0 feet; beam, maximum not to exceed 20.0 feet; draft, appended, maximum 32 inches; height above light load waterline, maximum 18.0 feet; speed, full-load, calm water, 12 to 20 knots (minimum); the range at design speed, full-load, 100 nm (minimum); cargo capacity 50,000 lbs.; crew accommodations for 6 (six); hull material alumimum alloy per ABYC; propulsion machinery, diesel, twin engines; cargo deck, 44 feet long x10 foot wide x 2 foot deep. Request for Proposal packages will be available on or about February 27, 2001. All requests for the proposal package must be in writing and will only be accepted via fax or mailed copy. These proposals must be returned in writing and mailed in by closing date 3:00 p.m. eastern standard time. TELEPHONE REQUESTS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.
