Description

The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division Lakehurst (NAWCADLKE) intends to enter into sole-source negotiations with Monogram Aerospace Fasteners, Los Angeles, California 90040-3103 for the acquisition of two (2) Composite-LOK II Installation Sets, part number IK4000, and three (3) Set Composite Fastener Removals, part number RK3160, for use on the V-22 Aircraft. The required items, Composite-LOK II Installation Sets, part number IK4000, quantity of two (2), and Set Composite Fastener Removals, part number RK3160, quantity of three (3) are Commercial-Off-The-Shelf (COTS) Non-Developmental Items (NDI) used in the Organizational Level support of the V-22 aircraft. Required delivery is 25 June 2001. These items are Commercial-Off-The-Shelf (COTS) Non-Developmental Item (NDI). The Composi-Lok II installation set, part number IK4000, includes both pneumatic and manual installation tools required by the V-22 aircraft for ISE in easily accessible and close quarter applications. Adapter assemblies are included for Composi-Lok blind bolt sizes 5/32 through 3/8 inch. The Composite Fastener Removal Set, part number RK3160, includes lock bolt fasteners, which are used by the V-22 aircraft in the removal of Hi-Lite and Hi-Lok fasteners. NAWCADLKE intends to procure this item under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304 (C) (1) as implemented in FAR 6.302-1. All responsible sources are encouraged to submit a proposal, which may be used by the Government in determining whether or not to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
