DESC: 1005-01-128-5465, Part Number 9348442, The item to procure is a Post, Front Sight, manufactured from common steel stock, 4120, 4140 or alternate material. Overall length 0.567 OD diameters 0.061, 0.185, 0.250 thread M6 x 1 applied to 0.250 diameter as per drawings specifications, other features applied. Part is heat treated as per MIL-H-6875. Part has protective finish MIL-STD-171, 5.3.1.2 Manganese phosphate base with a supplemental treatment of lubricating oil. Proposed contract is 100% small business set-aside. Offerors are hereby notified that award will not be based on price alone, but an evaluation of price and past performance. Requirements are 1,219 each Post, Front Sight. The proposed contract will include a 100 percent option. FOB is Destination. For use on the M249 Machine Gun. Estimated issue date is 27 Feb 2001. This solicitation incorporates a Technical Data Package (TDP) that cannot be provided via the internet. Vendors who need this TDP in order to prepare a bid or proposal are instructed to request same by submission of an email request to: tacom-ri-tdp@ria.army.mil. A TDP will be provided by normal mail after the solicitation has been released to the internet.
