Description

NASA/ARC plans to issue a IFB/ Request for Offers for CONSTRUCTING EXIT STAIRWAYS FOR BUILDINGS N213 AND N221. Building N221: Construct an exit stairway that provides a safe and code compliant means of emergency egress from the 2nd floor, 3rd floor and the mezzanine above the 3rd floor of the 40X80 Wind Tunnel Test Section. This new stairway will be an enclosed exterior stairway that has one-hour fire rated enclosure. Building N213: Construct an exit stairway from the basement that provides a direct and code compliant emergency egress path to the exterior of the building. The order of magnitude for the procurement is between $800,000.00 and $1,000,000.00 and the effort shall be completed within two hundred, ten (210) calendar days after notice to proceed. This procurement part of the Small Business Competitive Demonstration Program and is UNRESTRICTED. The NAICS Code and small business size standard for this procurement are 235910 and $11.5 million, respectively. The DPAS Rating for this procurement is DO-C2. The anticipated release date of the IFB/RFO is on or about February 26, 2001 with an anticipated offer closing date of on or about March 29, 2001. The firm date for receipt of bids or offers will be stated in the IFB/RFO. All requests for copies of solicitation no. RFO2-36856(CAD) should be in writing and directed to Mr. Mike Wilkerson. Verbal requests will not be accepted. Facsimile requests will not be accepted. THERE WILL BE A NON-REFUNDABLE CHARGE OF $45.00 FOR EACH SET OF PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS.
