The Department of Veterans' Affairs, VISN 8 Patient Safety Center of Inquiry in Tampa, Florida is seeking product information for the following Falls Prevention Equipment categories: 1) architectural aids: i.e., hand rails, specialty flooring 2) assistive devices: i.e., gait belts, walkers 3) furnishing enhancements: i.e., bed improvements, positioning aids 4) notification/warning systems: i.e., bed and chair alarms 5) protective devices: i.e., helmets, hip protectors 6) dependency or geri-chairs 7) ADL assists. The VISN 8 Patient Safety Center of Inquiry seeks to develop a Falls prevention Equipment Guide for VA field professionals.
