Description

The US Department of Energy's National Energy Technology Laboratory (NETL) intends to negotiate a sole source fixed price contract with options with TevaMetrics, LLC for performance of work described below. Project: Pilot test models for project risk assessment and performance evaluation designed to measure the ability of TevaMetric's product/service to provide meaningful information for project oversight in environmental management. In addition, a companion set of models for diagnostic evaluation of project performance based on translating monthly project data into a "root cause" domain, coupled to a probability algorithm that estimates the probability of deficiency associated with various root causes by functional project areas, will also be tested. The contract will be negotiated with TevaMetrics, LLC on a sole source basis because they possess a unique proprietary suite of software probabilistic/statistical models for risk assessment and performance evaluation using the type of data that DOE generally collects for large projects and have tested it successfully at the Hanford Spent Nuclear Fuel (SNF) project. This software provides unique insights that are currently unavailable through DOE's present reporting and oversight tools. The personnel at TevaMetrics, LLC are highly experienced in both the assessments and intricacies of the nuclear industry. They therefore represent a unique capability to determine the suitability of automated risk assessment for a broad range of DOE nuclear projects. This notification is for informational purposes only.
