Description
The National Park Service (NPS), through the Midwest Regional Office) requires the preparation of a National Historic Landmark (NHL) nomination for the Bagg Bonanza Farm, near Mooreton, North Dakota. Within the theme of Agriculture, the Bagg Bonanza Farm represents an area of agricultural history that has not been widely recognized. Solicitation number Q6068010024, NAICS code 541710, POC Tonya Bradley, Contracting Officer, 402-221-3561. The NPS seeks the preparation of a Bagg Bonanza Farm NHL nomination in order to designate all nationally-significant resources associated with bonanza wheat farming. This project will identify and evaluate all resource types related to the bonanza farm operation; develop contextual information pertaining to resource type, vernacular character, and national historical significance; and prepare justification for a NHL boundary. The NHL nomination shall be completed within twelve (12) months from the date of the award. Personnel qualifications are as follows: 1. The Principal Investigator (PI) is responsible for all aspects of the proposed amendment. The PI must have, at a minimum, a Masters degree in United States history. The PI shall have a publication record demonstrating a professional level of research, analysis, and report preparation. It is expected that the publication record will reflect education and experience beyond that of a project historian, and an understanding of research methodology. 2. Project Historian(s)-Although the overall research design, guidance and responsibility for the completed study lies with the PI, the PI may utilize the assistance of project historians (PH) to accomplish the research. The minimum requirements for a PH are a Bachelor's degree in United States history or historic preservation. 3. Standards for Consultants-Personnel hired or subcontracted for their special knowledge and expertise must carry academic and experiential qualifications in their particular area of expertise. Such qualifications are to be documented by means of vitae attachments to the proposals. Solicitation packages may be acquired in person, by mail or fax. Telephone request will not be accepted.
