Description

This procurement is for a quantity of two(2) different types of government designed aluminum racks to be used aboard US Navy ships. One requirement is for 85 each pail/bottle racks, dimensions approximately 25" by 35" by 13", and the other requirement is for 94 each paint brush box holder racks, demensions approximately 18" by 10" by 12". Both are fabricated from type 5052 aluminum by welding and bending as necessary. There will be provisions in the contract for a production model of one(1) each to be inspected by the Navy prior to fabricating the full production run. Delivery of the pre-production items will be required thirty(30) days after award. The government will award to the responsible offeror whose offer represents the Best Value to the government. In order to determine the Best Value the government will consider the price quotation submitted, past performance, and relevant past experience. Past performance and past experience data shall be submitted that includes the following on at least the last ghree(3) sales of identical, or similar items: (A) Customer, including company name, address, and name and telephone number of point of contact; (B) Contract or sales record number, and date of order; (C) Number, name and type of case fabrication (layout, cutting, and bending) and welding of sheet metal. After considering information submitted in response to this request for quote, and information otherwise available, the government will award to the source providing the Best Value to the government based upon price, past performance, and past experience, with past performance and past experience as evaluation factors being approximately equal to price. This is a 100% Small Business Set-Aside. The solicitation will appear on the NAVAIR homepage located at "http://www.naviar.navy.mil."
