Description

SOLICITATION NO. N68335-01-R-0158 AND ALL AMENDMENTS WILL NOT BE MAILED TO CONTRACTORS. 100% Small Business Setaside (NAICS Code 333994). The solicitation will appear on the NAVAIR homepage located at http//www.navair.navy.mil Select "Business", then "Doing Business With Us", and "Open Solicitations". The solicitation is for an indefinite delivery indefinite quantity firm fixed price contract for natural gas-fired convection type curing ovens with swing-type double doors at each end. The oven will be designed for an operating temperature of 130 to 500 degrees Fahrenheit. Specifically, the unit will be used for curing thermoset powder coatings applied as corrosion protection. Minimum interior dimension are to be 10' wide x 8' high x 20' deep. Also to be included is a direct fired air heater, air re-circulation blowers, exhaust system and a completely wired control panel utilizing 460V, 60 Hz, 3 phase power. This requirement shall be fulfilled by supply "commercial items" as defined in Section 2.101 of the Federal Acquisition Regulations. The procurement also provides provisions for start-up and familiarization training on each oven and for ordering additional ovens in calendar years 2001 through 2004. Submission of Logistical Support Data will also be required as part of the contract. The Government will award a contract resulting from this solicitation to the responsible offeror whose offer conforming to the solicitation will be most advantageous to the Government technical, past experience, past performance and price considered.
