- Description
- The US Army TACOM-ARDEC intends to award a new contract for up to 15,000 each M68 Close Combat Optics to Aimpoint, Inc., Malmo, Sweden on a sole source basis under the authority of 10 USC 2304 (c)(1) only one responsible source. Rationale being current producer and design is the only manufacturer of the M68 Type Classified optic. It is not economical nor timely to compete this requirement given the costs necessary to develop a competitve Technical Data Package (TDP) or Type Classify another design. See Note 22. for this quantity given the duplication costs of
