Description
Construct a new 60-member, 657 SM U.S. Army Reserve Center (USARC), a new 5089 SM Equipment Concentration Site (ECS) Warehouse, a new 1510 SM Area Maintenance Support Activity (AMSA), a parking lot for privately owned vehicles (POV), associated site work, and equipment, such as metal storage shelving, pallet racks, pre-engineered mezzanine, wire mesh partitions, etc. Options to this contract are the following: Renovation of the existing 11930 SF Building 8610 from an AMSA to an Organizational Maintenance Support (OMS), construction of new two Military Equipment Park (MEP) (MEP #1 and MEP #3), asphalt paving of MEP #1, asphalt paving of MEP #3, and implementation of the 1,728 SM Controlled Humidity Storage Area in the ECS Warehouse. The buildings will be of permanent construction with reinforced concrete foundations (AMSA), or drilled foundation caissons(piers) (Reserve Center and ESC Warehouse), concrete floor slabs, structural steel frames, masonry veneer walls, standing seam metal roof, HVAC systems, electrical systems, security systems, fire protection systems, etc. Supporting facilities include land clearing, paving, fencing, general site improvements, and an extension of utilities to serve projects. Ft. Polk is located approximately 50 miles west of Alexandria, LA. The estimated amount of the project is $10,000,000 to $25,000,000. The estimated issue date is March 1, 2001.
