Description

The Operational Contracting Division, SMC/PKO, Los Angeles AFB, CA intends to negotiate and award a contract for official and leisure travel operations at Los Angeles AFB. The contractor will be required to provide all personnel, labor, equipment, tools, materials, supervision, training and other items as necessary to perform operations of commercial travel services at Los Angeles AFB. Both domestic and international ticketing capability will be required. This acquisition will be accomplished as a commercial purchase using simplified acquisition procedures in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation Parts 12 and 13. The performance period is one base year beginning 1 Apr 01 through 31 Mar 02, plus four 6-month option periods beginning with the period 1 Apr 02 through 30 Sep 02. Current estimated travel volume is projected to be approximately 3 million dollars annually. The Government will furnish the contractor the following facilities: office area of approximately 2050 square feet and storage area of approximately 150 square feet. This contract will contain a special, No Cost Termination for Convenience of the Government Clause for implementation of a Defense Travel System (DTS) contract for official travel and an Air Force-wide Leisure Travel program. Interested parties may download the solicitation from www.eps.gov , where it is expected to be posted on or about 12 Feb 01. No paper copies of this solicitation will be issued. Offers shall be submitted via paper copy. The closing date and time for submission of offers will be contained in the solicitation package. When the solicitation is posted, it is imperative interested parties review this site frequently for any updates/amendments. By submission of an offer, the offeror acknowledges the requirement that a prospective awardee must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database at www.ccr2000.com prior to award, during performance, and through final payment of any contract resulting from this solicitation. Lack of registration in the CCR database will make an offeror ineligible for award. All responsible sources may submit a quote, which will be considered by the agency. Small businesses having the capability to provide this service are encouraged to participate. The current contract, F04693-95-H-0001, is being extended by 2 months on a sole source basis through 31 Mar 01, to allow award of a new contract based on the recent updates to the DTS implementation and Air Force Leisure Travel requirements.
