Description

NOTICE OF INTENT: The U.S. Customs Service (USCS) intends to award a Blanket Purchase Agreement as a sole source for one base year for various American Science & Engineering (AS&E) x-ray systems used to inspect trucks, mail and baggage at U.S. Ports of Entry throughout the contiguous United States, Puerto Rico, Hawaii and the Bahama Islands. The requirement will be processed under the authority of 10 USC 2304 (c) (1), only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy the agency requirements. The intended source is AS&E, 820 Middlesex Turnpike, Billerica, MA 01821. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETTITIVE PROPOSALS. However, perspective contractors who believe they can successfully propose must provide specific and detailed technical documentation to support such claims and abilities. Proposals may be faxed to Jeff Daugherty by close of business 2/14/01. No telephone requests will be posted.
