Description

The government intends to issue a request for proposal (RFP) for preventive maintenance and repair aircraft hangar doors, sliding doors, security gates, roll-up doors, nose dock doors and fire doors at facilities on Travis AFB, California. The performance period is for a basic and four 1 year options. The period of performance is estimated from 1 Jun 01 through 31 May 06 if all options are exercised. The approximate number and type of doors to be included in this solicitation are as follows; 357 Rollup Doors, 8 Hangar Doors, 8 Nosedock Doors, 16 Overhead Doors, 32 Security Gates, 39 Sliding Doors and 7 Fire Doors, all of which are various sizes. The doors are operated either electrically or manually. The contractor shall furnish everything necessary to perform the maintenance and repair services to ensure a safe and continuous operation. The contractor shall respond to emergency calls within 1 hour of notification. The vendor shall comply with all applicable Federal, state, and local laws and regulations, to include, Travis AFB Hazardous Waste Management Plan. All work shall be performed in accordance with commercial industrial standards. This requirement is Unrestricted. All responsible sources may submit a proposal, which shall be considered by this agency. The solicitation package will be posted on Federal Business Opportunities (FedBizOpps) website, which can be accessed at www.FedBizOpps.gov. The government will not provide paper copies of the solicitation. Telephone, written, Facsimile, or E-mail requests for the solicitation will not be honored. Potential offerors MUST register at www.FedBizOpps.gov in order to receive notification and/or changes to the solicitation. Potential Offerors are responsible for monitoring this site for any pertinent information and for downloading their copy of the solicitation package.
