EPOXY PRIMER COATING KIT (PRIMER COATING: EPOXY, HIGH-SOLIDS): DESCRIPTION In accordance with Military Specification MIL-P-23377G, dated 30 September, 1994. QPL QUALIFICATION REQUIRED. QPL-23377-17, dated March 28, 1997. Type I -- Standard pigments Class C -- Strontium chromate based corrosion inhibitors Size -- A kit consisting of Components A and B to produce a minimum of 60 mL (2 fluid ounces) of admixed coating. Age on delivery shall not exceed two months. Date of reinspection shall be 12 months after the date of manufacture. ITEM MARKING In addition to the requirements of MIL-P-23377G paragraphs 5.2 and 5.2.1, the following special marking shall be added: 1. Date of reinspection. 2. Storage instructions, e.g. Do not freeze, Keep below 90 degrees F., etc. PACKAGING The components of each kit shall be packaged in accordance with the supplier's normal commercial practice, provided that there will be no interaction chemically or physically with the contents so as to damage the container or alter the strength, quality, or purity of the contents. Short filling individual containers is permitted as long as the minimum quantities are met and the product conforms to all specification requirements. The containers shall be closed in a manner that will insure that the contents will not spill or leak from the containers during shipment, handling, storage and redistribution. One and five gallon containers shall be furnished with bail type handles in accordance with normal commercial practice. KIT PACKAGING. Components shall be further boxed or banded together in a kit form that will prevent accidental separation of the parts during shipment, handling, storage and redistribution. MARKING All unit, intermediate, transport packages and unit loads shall be marked for delivery to civilian activities in accordance with the FED-STD-123G, dated June 6, 1997, or marked for delivery to military activities in accordance with MIL-STD-129N, dated 15, May, 1997, as applicable.
