Description

The U.S. Army Soldier and Biological Chemical Command (SBCCOM)has a requirement to develop a Joint Transportable Collective Protection System (JTCOPS). A block approach will be taken. Block I will add a nuclear, biological and chemical (NBC) protection capability to five soft-wall shelters (tents) that are currently in the DoD inventory. A copy of the JTCOPS Block I draft System Requirements Document (SRD), is available for review on the Natick Contract Division web page at "www3.natick.army.mil/" under Business Opportunities, Upcoming Acquisitions, JTCOPS, DAAD16-01-R-0008. An Industry Day for the JTCOPS Block I will be held on 7 March 2001 at Eglin Air Force Base, Florida. The meeting will be held in the main conference room of Building 260 beginning at 0900 hours. The five shelters to be addressed during Block I will be displayed outside the building. The purpose of the industry day is to allow interested parties to discuss the draft SRD and to see the shelters. All parties interested in attending the Industry Day should furnish an e-mail address to the POC listed below. An agenda and base map will be furnished to all interested parties through their furnished e-mail addresses.
