Description
The purpose of this modification to the original presolicitation notice is to clarify several points and to reiterate a description of the work as follows: Provide all labor, material, equipment, transportation and supervision required to dredge the boat basin at U.S. Coast Guard Station Calumet Harbor, Chicago, IL. Basic work is as follows: Remove approximately 3,250 CY of mixed clay, sand, silt, and gravel within area shown on drawings and dispose of material at the USACE Chicago Area Confined Disposal Facility (CDF) according to all local, state and federal regulations. Unit Work Item (to be priced separately) will be to remove an additional 50 CY of material consisting of mixed clay, sand, silt, and gravel within area shown on drawings and dispose of material at the USACE Chicago Area Confined Disposal Facility according to all local, state and federal regulations (up to 750 CY). The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code assigned to this project is 234990 (formerly SIC code 1629). Estimated range of the project is between $100,000 and $250,000. In accordance with the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program, this procurement is open to both large and small businesses. Performance Period is 45 days after Notice to Proceed (NTP). Once dredging operation starts, the contractor must continue dredging until completion. All relevant solicitation documents, including specifications and drawings shall be available for download exclusively from the Internet in approximately 15 days from the posting date of this presolicitation notice by accessing the U.S. Coast Guard Civil Engineering Unit Cleveland website at: http://www.uscg.mil/mlclant/ceucleveland or GSAs Electronic Posting System (EPS) website at: http://www.eps.gov. Any amendments issued to this solicitation will be posted solely on these websites. NO DUE DATE FOR BIDS HAS BEEN ESTABLISHED YET.
