Description

The Winema National Forest is soliciting bids for the reconstruction Forest Service Road 43 (Kirk Road). Work includes reconditioning 13.5 kilometers of single-lane road, pit development of the designated cinder source, and crushing and placing 8000 cubic meters of graded cinders. Estimated price range is between $100,000 and $250,000. Bonds will be required in the following amounts: Bid 20%, Payment 100%, and Performance 100%. Estimated issue date is March 6, 2001 and estimated open date is April 16, 2001. Approximate start work date is May 15, 2001. This project is not set-aside for Small Business Concerns. A price evaluation preference for HUBZone Small Business Concerns will be applied. Potential HUBZone offerors are cautioned to be knowledgeable of the waiver of evaluation preference as it relates to hiring of personnel.
