Description

McChord Air Force Base, Washington is seeking a publisher to produce a weekly newspaper known as the Northwest Airlifter, a commercial enterprise newspaper published to provide military and community news to employees and residents. This publication is subject to the requirements of Department of Defense Instruction (DODI) 5120.4, Air Force Instruction (AFI) 35-101 and the regulations and instructions incorporated therein by reference. This acquisition will be accomplished using commercial procedures in accordance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation Part 15. The applicable NAICS is 51111. The period of performance will be for a base period of 2 years, with 4, one year option periods. The Government reserves the right to exercise each option period. The solicitation number is F45603-01-R-7001. The solicitation will issue on or about 21 February 2001. The closing date for the submission of offers is 23 March 2001 at 4:00 P.M. local time. The solicitation, notices and all amendments will be posted and available for viewing and downloading on the Government Electronic Posting System (EPS) site at www.eps.gov. No paper copies will be issued. When the solicitation is posted, it is incumbent upon all interested parties to review this site frequently for any updates/amendments to any and all documents. All prospective offerors interested in submitting a proposal must have a Commercial and Government Entity Code (CAGE Code) and be registered in the Central Contractors Registration (CCR) at www.ccr2000.com. The Government will award a contract resulting from this solicitation to the responsible offeror whose offer conforming to the solicitation will be most advantageous to the Government. The criteria and the procedures the Government will use for evaluation of proposals and source selection are described in this solicitation.
