CALL FOR PAPERS AND VENDOR PARTICIPATION -- -- -- -- -- TEAMING FOR TECHNOLOGY, AFCEA'S BRAINQUAKE 2001 -- The Space Coast AFCEA Chapter (Cape Canaveral) is sponsoring an information technology conference and exposition that will accomplish two main goals of the AFCEA chapter. The first goal is to provide a forum to nurture teaming relationships between small businesses, large corporations, and the federal government. The second goal is to address the technology needs of the Cape Canaveral, Patrick AFB, and the surrounding space-coast communities. The conference committee is currently accepting presentation abstracts and exhibit space sponsorships from the government and industry. -- -- -- -- -- WHO WILL ATTEND: The event will be marketed throughout NASA Kennedy Space Flight Center, Patrick AFB, Cape Canaveral, the surrounding tenant organizations, and local contractors. These groups include The Patrick AFB 45th Space Wing (Serves as the DOD's launch operations support for Cape Canaveral), J-Stars (conducts development and operational testing of the airborne and ground segments that satisfy the U.S. Army Operational Test and Evaluation Command), Joint Program Management Office (JPMO -- joint initiative between NASA and the Air Force with the mission of providing support for the furtherance of cost efficiencies and marketability of joint resources), National Imagery and Mapping Agency (NIMA), Space and Missile Center (SMC/CWP), and the 605th Test Squadron. -- -- -- -- -- TOPICS OF INTEREST: Wireless technologies, Blue tooth solutions, Electronic Commerce, Network Security, Intrusion Detection, Information Assurance, Networking, Remote Network Management, ATM, Video Teleconferencing, Database search engines, Database Storage, Securely posting information Digital Signatures, File Transfer Protocol (FTP), Personal Computers, Networking, and VPN (Virtual Private Networking). -- -- -- -- -- LOCATION: Patrick AFB Officers Club, Cocoa Beach, FL -- -- -- -- -- DATE: March 1, 2001, CONFERENCE: 8:30 3:00, EXHIBITS: 9:30 1:30.
