Description

The Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division, Newport has a requirement for services to develop a mathematical model establishing the velocity field on moving, air-water surfaces of revolution for laser acoustic sonar functionality for the supercavitating vehicle. A sole source contract to Sonartech Co. of Westerly, RI is planned. Sonartech is the only known company that meets all the minimum requirements and can provide the required expertise in underwater acoustic modeling. This is a follow-on to Contract N66604-00-M-6665. FAR Part 13 procedures will be used for this procurement. Estimated RFQ release date 2/13/01 with a closing date of 2/28/01. NAICS Code: 541330, standard size $20 Million.
