Description

The Carderock Division Naval Surface Warfare Center intends to negotiate a sole source procurement with The ESH Group. The contractor will participate in the development of the Naval Environmental Management System-Ships for application to all Navy ships. The contractor will assist in the development of a standard approach to managing environmental compliance during all phases of a ships lifecycle. Current efforts are focused in two areas, first is development of NEMS-S for the ship design phase to prepare environmental design, construction and systems engineering guidance and tools for ship designers and make them available in a central location. Second is the development of NEMS-S for use during the operation and support ship lifecycle phase to improve environmental management while reducing manpower requirements. Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirement under the authority of FAR 6.302.1 Anticipated award is on or about 2/19/01.
