- Description
- Air Force Research Laboratory, SENSORS Directorate, Sensor ATR Technology Division (AFRL/SNA) solicits research proposals for the Research and Evaluation of Automatic Target Recognition and Sensor FusiON (REASON) Systems Program. The objective of the REASON Program is to design, develop, model, test, implement, and execute innovative performance evaluation methodologies for the assessment and characterization of sensor exploitation technologies in support of AFRL/SN and AFRL/SN customer's development or acquisition activities. Sensor exploitation technologies include algorithms, software, hardware, and systems operating on real and synthetic, single and multi-sensor data. Evaluation methodologies shall encompass functions and processes that fully detail sensor exploitation technology capabilities, demonstrating strengths and deficiencies, based upon specific technology and mission requirements. A web site has been established that provides background information on past and current Automatic Target Recognition evaluation R&D activities at AFRL. The information found at the site is NOT an official part of this announcement. It is provided for informational purposes only. https://readingroom.reason.vdl.afrl.af.mil/ReadingRoom.htm. This information consists of a list of facilities and activities within the Sensors Directorate that support the research, development, testing, and evaluation of automatic target recognition (ATR) algorithms, sensor fusion (SF) algorithms, and related software. Access to this information is NOT mandatory for preparation of a response to this PRDA or for contract award. Any offeror interested in gaining access to this material should contact Mr. Bill Baker, william.baker@wpafb.af.mil or Mr. Gary Lukens, gary.lukens@wpafb.af.mil. Interested offerors may view and/or download the full PRDA solicitation by accessing the Electronic Posting System (EPS) homepage at http://www.eps.gov/. Direct questions to the Contracting point of contact identified in the announcement.
