Description

Atlantic Division, Naval Facilities Engineering Command, Norfolk, VA 23511, ALLEGANY BALLISTICS LABORATORY, ALLIANT TECHSYSTEMS INCORPORATED, ROCKET CENTER, WV. The work shall consist of the demolition and disposal of a portion of one concrete block structure. The total square footage to be demolished consists of 5,500 sq. ft. single story and 5,000 sq. ft. two story concrete block structure. Work shall include the proper removal and disposal of asbestos contaminated materials in the form of building siding, pipe & duct insulation and transite wallboard. A significant amount of mechanical and electrical work will be necessary to remove the portion to be demolished from the remaining structure. Some earth moving is required for filling and drainage. Plans and specifications will be available on or about April 2, 2001. The bid opening date is not firm, but will be on or about May 2, 2001. Bonds will be required. West Virginia Contractors License must be submitted prior to commencement of work by conractor and all subcontractors. In order to obtain plans and specifications, please submit a $35 non-refundable fee payable to Alliant Techsystems, Inc. with a written request. Send written requests along with check to obtain plans and specifications. Phone request for bid packages will not be accepted. Estimated range for this work is $25,000 to $ 100,000.
