Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number is F61040-01-R0009. The solicitation is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-21 and DFARS Change Notice 20001213. All responsible sources may submit a written proposal, which will be considered. Facsimile submissions will be accepted. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for the solicitation is 422720; the small business size standard is 100 employees. This combined synopsis/solicitation is unrestricted. Items required are as follows: Contractor is required to supply and deliver 300,000 gallons of Diesel Fuel, Marine Grade (equivalent to NATO F76 _ NSN 9140-00-273-2377) to Lajes Field, Terceira, Azores, Portugal. The Government has the right to refuse delivery of any unacceptable fuel oil being delivered. The Government requests a target delivery date of 01 March 2001. Delivery Point: US Forces Azores, MTMC _ Azores, Praia da Vitoria, Terceira, Azores, Portugal PROPOSAL PREPARATION INSTRUCTIONS: The provision at 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors _ Commercial items, applies to this acquisition. Offerors shall provide a firm fixed-price for above items. Delivery charges, if any, must be included in unit price. Offerors unable to meet the target delivery date must provide projected delivery date. Successful contractor must meet all the responsibility requirements of Subpart 9.1 of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR). A written notice of award or acceptance of offer, mailed or otherwise furnished to the successful offeror, shall result in a binding contract without further action by either party. Evaluation will be made based on the lowest price offer, with the proposed delivery date closest to our target delivery date.
