THIS NOTICE CONSTITUTES AMENDMENT NO. 1 TO THE COMBINED SYNOPSIS/RFQ FOR Scanning Electron Microscope. Companies shall acknowledge all amendment(s) in their quote. This notice serves as the official amendment to subject synopsis/RFQ and a written amendment will not be issued. The purpose of this amendment is to modify the detailed specifications. The following detailed specifications are NOT ABSOLUTELY ESSENTIAL minimum specifications: 1. Lens Control: Optibeam electronic coupling, enhanced depth-of field control. 2. (Images will be stored on hard drive described under Image input/output specifications.) The following ABSOLUTELY ESSENTIAL minimum specification (as identified by quotation marks) is changed to from "600 Megahertz" to "500 Megahertz" as follows: "The minimum requirements for the Integrated Computer Environment would include a Central Processor Pentium III, 500 Megahertz, with 128 Megabytes RAM, Windows 98 and associated serial, Parallel, SCSI and USB ports," The following minimum specification is hereby deleted in its entirety and replaced by none: Power will be standard 208-240 V, 50/60 Hz Single Phase. The due date for receipt of offers is extended to 2/23/01. Companies shall provide the information stated in the synopsis/RFQ posted on the NASA Acquisition Internet Service (NAIS) on 2/23/01. Documents related to this procurement are available over the Internet and are in Microsoft Office 97 format and reside on the World Wide Web (WWW) server which may be accessed using a WWW browser application.
