Description

The Marine Corps Systems Command (MARCORSYSCOM) intends to negotiate a Firm Fixed Price (FFP) contract on a sole source basis in accordance with 10 U.S.C. 2304 (c) (1), only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy the agency with SSB Electronic USA 124 Cherrywood Drive Mountaintop, PA 18707 a small business. This requirement is for SSB-2400-WL-6 Bi-directional Linear Amplifiers to support the End User Terminal (EUT) development project. The focus of this equipment is to provide Marines in the field with experimental EUTs to connect to the Tactical Network. The amplifier must also be able to connect to the WaveLAN II transceiver card in the 2.4-2.47 gigahertz range. The SSB linear amplifier matches input/output requirements for low signal to noise ratio transmissions. The implementation of the wireless link between the interface and the main EUT unit is requiring the addition of the linear amplifier for clear protocol data transmissions. The equipment shall be delivered no later than 12 April 2001. No RFP is available for competitive bidding, however interested parties qualified as a small business under FAR 19.102 are encouraged to submit a statement of capability for satisfying this requirement.
