Women-Owned Small and Small Disadvantaged Businesses (WOSB) are invited to attend the Environmental Small Business Fair sponsored by SBA and Northern Division, Naval Facilities Engineering Command on 21 February 2001 from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Philadelphia Airport Marriot Hotel, Philadelphia, PA For directions to the hotel, call Mr. David Rule at (610) 595-0633. The fair will focus on prime and subcontracting opportunities for provisions of environmental services. The agenda will include a lite breakfast, seminars, lunch, presentations and Q and A sessions. The Fair is limited to the first 200 people that register. The purpose of the fair is two fold: (1) Enhance knowledge to small business about Environmental Services purchased by Northern Division, Naval Facilities Engineering Command and the Army Corps of Engineers. (2) to promote networking between large business and small business. Companies will be able to discuss opportunties for work with the Federal Government Contracting officer, Project managers and representatives from largr business seeking subcontractors. Northern Division is an Engineering Field Activity under the Navy Facilities Engineering Command that procures Architect-Engineer Services, Construction Services, Facilities Maintenance Services and Environmental Services. Construction, alteration or repair (including dredging, exacavating and painting) of buildings, structures or other real property. Building structures and real property include improvements of all types, such as bridges, plants, highways, parkways, streets, sewers, mains, power lines, pumping stations, railways, airport facilities, terminal, docks, piers, and wharves. Facilities Maintenance Services consist of custodial or housekeeping services, security or fire protection services, refuse collection, grounds or surfaced area maintenance, heating systems operation and maintenance, military family housing maintenance, energy monitoring control systems maintenance and repair. The principal types of Environmental services procured by Northern Division are restoration, compliance, planning and BRAC.
