Description
The combined synopsis solicitation for commercial items No. 519-00-P-011 is hereby modified to reflect the following: Answers to questions made by contractors a. How many radios do you require? 1,000 radios -- 940 PRO5550 or equivalent and 60 PRO7550 or equivalent. b. Is there a format that we should follow for the proposal? No, there is no specific format to follow for this proposal. c. Are the radios going to be used on an existing system? Yes, the radios will be used on an existing system. d. If not, do you need repeaters as well? No, we don't need repeaters. e. Do you need accessories for the radios, like belts, holsters, earphones, etc.? The only accessories needed are the extra battery for each radio (1,000) and the Radio Service Software. f. Can you accept PRO5150 and PRO7150 or PRO5350 and PRO7350 radios as equivalents? No, we understand that these models will not function with the existing Motorola Smart Tracking. g. Are these radios to be used specifically in conjunction with a repeater system that uses Motorola's Smartnet Trunking? Yes. h. If not, are there any other acceptable trunking standards that may be used with the present or proposes repeater system? No i. It appears that the specifications require a total of 1018 radios, some of which should be PRO5550's and some PRO7550's but it does not specify how many of each. Can you please let us know how many of each? The total number of radios includes nine hundred and forty (940) PRO5550's and sixty (60) PRO7550's, or a total of 1,000 radios. j. The equivalence mentioned in the requirements seems focused on the specifications but are you also looking for equivalence of all the features of both Motorola models, or are there some features that are not necessary? The equivalence of features is for each of the two models of radios -- in other words, we need the equivalent of the PRO5550 and the equivalent of the PRO7550.
