- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation document, incorporated provisions, and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 97-23, dated 18 January 2001. The proposed procurement will be conducted under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP) outlined in the FAR. The following FAR provisions and clauses are incorporated by reference: FAR 52.212-1 Instructions to Offers_Commercial Items (Oct 2000); FAR 52.212-3, Offerors Representations and Certifications_Commercial Items (Oct 2000); FAR 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions_Commercial Items (May 1999); FAR 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders_Commercial Items; the following numbered subparagraphs under paragraph (b) of this apply: (11), (12), (13), (14), (15), (23), and (26). A copy of FAR clause 52.212-3 is available in full text by request. Please indicate on your quote if you are qualified under the SBA HUB-zone preference. All responsible quotes are due NO LATER THAN 4:00 PM PST on 20 February 2001. Quotes can be mailed to AFFTC/PKAA, 30 N. Wolfe Ave, Edwards AFB CA 93524; faxed to (661) 275-7808; or emailed to: michele.cameron@edwards.af.mil. All responsible sources shall provide this office an offer and a completed copy of FAR 52.212-3. The following is a list of the requirements that this course must meet: -- Must be a authorized CISCO Interconnecting Cisco Network Devices (ICND) Course -- Upon completion of the course, the company must offer ICND certification, this will be included in the cost of the course -- Company must be able to train 10 _ 15 students at Edwards AFB, CA, building 3940, room 153 o On site pricing must include: Instructor fee, travel and expenses, all necessary equipment (routers, switches, laptops,_), course set up, course manuals and evaluations, handout materials and shipping fees. -- AFFTC/IT will provide adequate classroom to meet company_s requirements -- Equipment requirements: CISCO 2500 and 3600 series routers, CISCO Catalyst switches 1900, 2900, and 3500 series switches -- Training: o Install and configure CISCO Routers and Switches in multiprotocol network o Identify components and functions of the OSI Model o Configure Basic Operation of CISCO IOS software o Configure router/switches from command line interface o Use system files to learn about neighboring devices o Configure Catalyst 1900/2900 and 3500 series switches o Extend switched networks with VLANs o Interconnect Networks Using TCP/IP o Determine IP Routes with RIP and IGRP o Configure IP access lists o Connect to Frame relay services o Configure serial connections to WAN service provider -- Course content should include: o Internetworking Concepts o Operating and configuring a Cisco IOS Device o Managing your network environment o Catalyst switch operations o Extending switched networks with VLANs o Interconnecting networks with TCP/IP o Determining IP routes o IP traffic management with access lists o Configure Novell IPX o Establishing Serial point-to-point connections o Completing an ISDN BRI call o Establishing a frame relay PCC connection -- Require a course layout, total course 5 days
