- Description
- DESC: This is a combined synopsis/solicitation (MIPR: 101010-0100-0000) for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, Streamlined Procedures for Evaluation and Solicitation for Commercial Items, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The Wiesbaden Contracting Center, Germany intends to procure one heavy armored vehicle (including commercial shipment to Cairo, Egypt) including drivers safety training for 2 persons at the Contractors factory site. Vehicles must conform to current Department of State (DOS) specifications and standards for explosive, blast, and small arm protection. Only the BMW 750iL and the Mercedes 500SE are known to have been certified as of the date of this notice. Offerors must include location of US certified test laboratory, and date certified. Vehicles must be indigenous to the European Theater. Offerors shall have the ability to provide timely repair and maintenance at the vehicle operational areas and shall include in their offer, data detailing the manufacturers worldwide maintenance and repair service network and their ability to respond to emergency repair and other HAV support needs on short notice. Vehicle will be shipped from the the Contractors factory by the Contractor. Offerors are required to submit with their offers detailed technical descriptions and illustrations of the vehicle offered in order to enable a proper technical evaluation. Offerors shall address each requirement. Solicitation is being issued as a Request for Quote (RFQ) pursuant to FAR Subpart 13.5 Test Program for Certain Commercial Items. This solicitation and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-07. Award will be made to the lowest price, technically acceptable offer. The successful offeror will be required to accept the purchase order in writing. Quotes are due not later than March 22 2001 at 1600 hrs, CET. Offerors shall submit quotes either via fax to +49 (611) 816-2254/30 or 2178 or via email to biancom@rcc.wbn.usacce.army.mil. Any text files shall be in a format readable by Microsoft Word 97. The solicitation can be obtained by request. Required delivery time for vehicles shall be 180 days. Offeror shall indicate in his offer his earliest time of delivery. FOB Point: Destination. Delivery and Acceptance point: Cairo, Egypt.
