- Description
- The National Imagery and Mapping Agency (NIMA) requires services for specification writing, typesetting, photoservice, platemaking, printing and finishing of single color and multi-color unclassified NIMA maps and charts. These maps/charts provide information essential to all US military operations. Contractors shall furnish all services, labor, facilities, equipment, supervision and supplies (including paper and ink). The finished products shall be small, medium, and large format maps/charts which are printed most often on one side only. The products to be printed will be between 1 to 7 colors on JCP E30 and JCP E50 paper, with trim sizes ranging from 22" X 29" to 44" X 60". Photoservicing will require some compositing of film separates into final negatives. The number of separates for compositing range from approximately 8 to 30 pieces. If composite negatives are requested then the contractor will then produce a multi-color proof from the composite set. Also, photoservicing may require the contractor to make a dupes or contacts of individual negatives. Prior to the compositing and/or platemaking stage the contractor will be required to retouch work and type placement of various notes and barcodes to composited or uncomposited features, pre-screended or unscreened negatives. Folded products are packaged in shrink-wrapped packages of 25 or 50, packed on pallets, and shipped to Richmond,VA. It is anticipated that multiple indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity contracts will result from this solicitation. The anticipated contract period is one base year with two one-year options. A minimum guarantee of $10,000 has been established for the base year. The maximum range of the contract $1M to $3M will depend on the number of contracts awarded. Specific quantities are to be procured through issuance of delivery orders to the contract. Delivery schedules will be identified in each delivery order. All contractors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) to be eligible for an award. This requirement is 100 percent set aside for small business. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this requirement is 323110, size standard 500. All proposals will be evaluated on the following factors; Technical capability, past performance, key personnel, quality control, and price. See Note 1.
