Description

R -- The U.S. Dept. of Commerce/NMFS/Office of Intergovernmental and Recreational Fisheries intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with Dallas Miner to provide the development of action plans from the RecFish 2000 National Symposium and implement and evaluate progress of the RecFish 2000 action plans on a national scale and provide directed support to NMFS in the preparation for and conduct of a national NMFS/State Directors Meeting to be held in FY01. Specific tasks include: 1) Develop a report, incorporating the information presented at RecFish 2000, that will define improved means to efficiently incorporate marine recreational fisheries issues into management and policy decisions of the Agency; 2) Develop and implement an outreach plan for distribution of 1000+copies of the RecFish 2000 summary document; 3) Develop and implement an outreach plan for partnership projects and activities with NGO's having existing Memorandums of Agreement (MOAs) with NMFS that incorporate recommendations from RecFish 2000 to improve management of the nation's marine fishery resources and improve constituent services; 4) Provide directed support to NMFS in the preparation for and conduct of a national NMFS/State Directors Meeting to be held in FY01; 5) Manage the development of a report on the recommendations and findings of the NMFS/State Directors Meeting; 6) Provide directed assistance in implementing recreational fisheries management policies which benefit the Federal government and its partnership goals with state agencies and NGO's.
