Description

The USA CECOM and RDEC Army Power Division announces the expectation of a Broad Agency Announcement (BAA) to award a number of research efforts through Fiscal Year 2004. The research areas may have short or long-range impact on the Flexible Packaging and Solid Electrolyte Processing for Rechargeable and Primary Throwaway Batteries, High Capacity Metal Hydride AA Cells for PRC-112, High Temperature Rechargeable Lithium Ion Cells, Advanced Zinc Air Battery for the Soldier and other battery research and development programs. The Government encourages application of prospective offerors including but not limited to: private companies (large and small), educational institutions. and non-profit organizations. Additional topics are encouraged related to this BAA and can be submitted under separate white paper and outline to the technical point of contact before a final proposal. The release of the BAA, Solicitation DAAB07-01-R-D429, is anticipated on or about 2001 February 21. All interested parties wishing to do business with CECOM are invited to access, operate, send and receive data from the Interagency Interactive Business Opportunity Web Page which can be accessed at the following internet address: http://abop.monmouth.army.mil The Government expects various awards to start during FY01 through FY04. Deliverables will vary from limited data (study/analysis) to significant data consisting of substantial software and hardware (technique developments/prototypes.
