Description

The Food and Drug Administration has a requirement to replace suspended ceiling tiles, replace existing lights with energy efficient lighting, and to relocate parts of the existing sprinkler system at its San Juan District Office in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Work includes, but is not limited to, furnishing all necessary materials, equipment, labor and supervision necessary to perform the tasks stated above. A fixed price contract is contemplated with a 60 day period of performance. The estimated cost of construction is between $100,000 and $250,000. The bid opening date will be 30-days after the invitation for bid is released. The applicable SIC code is 1742. Solicitation packages are available at a non-refundable cost of $18.00 per set and only company checks or money orders, made payable to the Food and Drug Administration, will be accepted. Solicitation packages can be obtained by submitting a written request (referencing the solicitation number) and sending the appropriate payment to the address above. A bid bond is required with the bid submission, and performance and payment bonds will be required from the awardee. The availability of solicitation packages is limited and will be furnished until the supply is exhausted on a first received, first served basis.
