Description

Work consists of furnishing all plant, labor, materials, equipment and performing all work in strict accordance with the specifications, schedules and drawings for the design and installation of a public address system for several outbuildings located at 3200 South Second Street. The buildings include Building 1, 2, 4, 5, 7, 12, 18, 20, 22, 25, 37, 39, and 40. Work is to include the design and installation of conduit, cabling, interior speakers, exterior speakers, telephone announcing device, amplifiers, warning lights, and all equipment required to make the system functional. The new devices will be connected to an existing public address system. The system will need to be programmed and tested. The programming and testing portion must be performed by an authorized service representative of Notifier equipment. All other work shall be performed by an electrical contractor who has several years experience in the installation of public address systems or fire alarm systems. All work is to be accomplished in strict accordance with applicable NIMA, EPA, NFPA, and OSHA requirements. The performance period for this project is 240 days. The design shall be completed within 120 calendar days and the construction shall be completed within 120 calendar days. The contractor shall be required to perform most of the work on premium time to eliminate disruption of Governemnt services. The approximate cost of this project is between $100,000 and $250,000. The work is located at the National Imagery and Mapping Agency facilities at 3200 South Second Street, which is east of Broadway and south of Arsenal Street in south St. Louis city. 100% of this project is set-aside for small business. North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 235310, and size standard $11.5 million are applicable.
