Description

Canaveral Harbor Maintenance dredging will require removal of shoal material from Entrance channel Cuts 1A, 1B, 1, 2, and 3 (including widener's between Cut-1 and Cut-2) and from the Trident Acess Channel, Trident Turning Basin, Middle Turning Basin, West Acess Channel, and West Turning Basin. Nearshore quality material removed fro Cut-2 Station 150+00 to Station 182+00 will be placed in the nearshore disposal area and non-nearshore quality material removed from this reach will be placed in the ocean disposal area. The determination of beach quality vs. non beach quality material will be based on a visual inspection of the material. The material removed from other portions of the project will be placed in the ocean disposal area. This solicitation is for an indefinite delivery order type of contract covering a base period of 12 months with two 12 month option periods, if exercised. The base bid work for each year may include all or some of Cuts 1A, 1B, 1, and 2 (including wideners). Magnitude of construction is over $10,000,000. Invitation For Bid will be issued on or about 02/22/01 and open on or about 04/10/01. Solicitation will be issued in electronic format only. Bidders will be provided a CD ROM at no cost.
