Description
Furnish all labor, materials and equipment necessary to install floating docks at U.S. Coast Guard Aids-to-Navigation Team (ANT) Kennewick, WA. The work includes, but is not limited to, the following: A. Remove floating docks 1,2,3 and 4 as shown on Drawing 13-O9525, S1. Remove and demolish docks 1 and 2. Tie docks 3 and 4 off to the front pier face via 1/2" or greater diameter mooring line. Docks 3 and 4 are not to be attached to the pier via their existing pile hoop guides. B. Demolish the existing concrete pad as shown on Drawing 13-O9525, S1. C. Remove aluminum gangway "A" as shown on Drawing 13-O9525, S1. D. Provide and install five new steel truss floating docks with the steel grating decks to become Docks "A", "B", "C", "D" and "E" as shown in Drawing 13-O9525, S1 and detailed in Section 05120. The new floating docks are to include pile hoop guides and cleats as shown in Drawing 13-O9525, S3. E. Fabricate and install a reinforced concrete pad with protruding anchor bolts as shown on Drawing 13-O9525. F. Relocate aluminum gangway "B" as shown on Drawing 13-O9525, S1. G. Demolish and remove the existing wooden handrail leading to existing floating dock "2" and surrounding the existing concrete pad as shown on Drawing 13-09525, S4. Demolish the existing concrete steps as needed to relocate aluminum gangway "B" as shown on Drawing 13-O9525, S4. H. Provide two fiberglass life-ring cabinets as described in Section 06600. ANT Kennewick personnel will install the cabinets. I. The work window for in-water work is 01 January -- 01 March and 15 December -- 31 December annually. Do not perform in-water work outside of this work window without the specific permission from the Contracting Officer. Work not done in the water does not require specific permission, regardless of the date. The estimated cost of this procurement is between $25,000 and $100,000. Performance period is 90 calendar days after receipt of Notice to Proceed. This procurement is subject to the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program and is open to large and small business participation. The applicable NAICS code is 234120. Small Business size standard is $27.5 million. All responsible sources may submit a bid, which will be considered. The solicitation can be downloaded from (http://www.eps.gov/) on approximately 16 Feb 2001. If it does not appear on that date, please check back daily.
