Notice of intent to negotiate a sole source contract with Two Crow Environmental Consultants for the Pacific Marine Environmental Lab (PMEL). Purpose of proposed contract action is to continue coordination of synthesis of results from biophysical monitoring in the southeastern Bering Sea. This includes research funded by IARC, NSF and NOAA's Coastal Ocean Program. Work under proposed contract also includes coordinating and presenting results through the ecosystem community by attending meetings, workshops, and through other relevant forums such as reports to appropriate programs as well scientific publications. Dr. James Schumacher of Two Crow is internationally recognized expert in the field of fisheries oceanography with an emphasis on the impacts of climate change throughout the ecosystem of the Bering Sea. During the past three decades, Dr. Schumacher has acquired detailed knowledge of the Bering Sea and Gulf of Alaska ecosystem. Work is related to work Dr. Schumacher completed under a previous contract. This is a simlplified acquisition with an estimated value of less than $100,000.
