Description

The Fire Department, Marine Corps Air Station, Beaufort, South Carolina has a requirement of a 1987 Pierce 50' Telesquirt as stated below. This is a combined synoposis/solicitation for commerical items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; offers are being requested and a separate written solicitation willwill not be issued. The Government intends to solicit Pierce Manufacturing, Inc. located in Appleton, Wisconsin on a sole source basis; however all responsible sources may submit a bid, proposal, or quotation, which shall be considered by this agency. The solicitation number is: M60169-01-Q-C005. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-18 and Defense Acquisition Circular 91-13. The standard industrial code is 7539 with corresponding size standard of $5.0 million. Offerors must acquaint themselves with the regulations concerning Commercial Item Acquisition contained at FAR Subpart 12 and must ensure that all representations and certifications are completed and returned as called for in this solicitation. Offerors not in possession of the above referenced clauses in full text may obtain them at http://www.arnet.gov/far. Effective 01 March 1998, all contractors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database as a condition of contract award. Responses to this solicitation are due by COB 16 MAR 01 and should be mailed to: Supply Officer, MCAS, Purchasing Branch, PO Box 55024, Beaufort SC 29904. Offers must be in writing. All qualified responsible business sources may submit an offer which shall be a firm fixed order for the following: Refurbishment will include a four door enclosed cab conversion, crew cab heater, air horns mounted in the bumper, air conditioner front and rear, 250 amp alternator, cosmetic repaint of the entire truck, Code-3 NFPA lighting package, vehicle inspection to determine and estimate addition repairs suggested and an aerial inspection to determine and estimate any additional repairs suggested for the ladder.
