Description

The Government intends to negotiate a Firm-Fixed Price type Purchase order for Hotel Conference Services in accordance with FAR 13.5 "Test program for Certain Commercial Items" (Clinger-Cohen). The period of performance for the resulting purchase order will be from 02 June 2001 through 13 June 2001. The North American Industry Classification System code is 721110. Conference services include; lodging for 80 single rooms; a formal dinner and icebreaker social for 100 persons; breakfast lunch and dinner for 60 persons; and conference space for 100 persons. Menu selections will be specified in the solicitation. Hotel should be within five (5) miles of pentagon and have a 3.5 Star or greater hotel rating or the equivalent in another industry rating standard. Hotel shall be equipped with two conference room facilities to support 100 persons. Hotel shall have classroom support to include standard audio-visual equipment. Hotel shall have adequate dinner hall to accommodate catered social dinner for 100 persons. Lodging rooms shall include data port capability, and have ironing boards, irons, coffee makers, and hairdryers. Contractors shall submit a technical description of the hotel in accordance with FAR 52.212-1 (b)(4). Solicitation shall be issued on or about 05 FEB 2001. Potential Offerors are hereby notified that the solicitation and subsequent amendments to the solicitation will ONLY be available by downloading the documents at http://www.neco.navy.mil. This office will no longer issue hard copy solicitations. In order for this office to obtain a potential offerors notification list, potential offerors must submit in writing requests to the above address or by fax machine at 757/443-1424. Written requests must include company name, point of contact, solicitation number, address, phone number, and email address (if available). By submitting a proposal, the vendor will be self-certifying that neither the requestor nor the principal corporate officials and owners are currently suspended, debarred, or otherwise ineligible to receive contracts from any Federal Agency. Failure to do so may represent grounds for refusing to accept the proposal.
