Description
SUPPLY VEXAR TUBES, SHADE CARDS, AND BAMBOO STAKES -- Supply shade cards, bamboo stakes, and tree seedling protection tubes (vexar tubes) in accordance with the following specifications: Shade cards on wooden stakes. Shade cards will be 8"x12", non-waxed, constructed from three sheets of 60 weight paper, glued with waterproof glue. Finished product shall be approximately 1/16" thick and shall not biodegrade in less than 18 months. Wooden stakes for shade cards will be rough, relatively free of knots and flaws, made of cedar, Douglas fir, or larch, 3/8" thick, 1 1/2" to 1 3/4" wide, 24" long with a 3" point on one end. Bundle 40 stakes with shade cards attached per bundle with steel or nylon bands. When stapling cards to stake, edge of card shall be placed between 8 and 10 inches from the pointed end of stake. Vexar tubes shall be 75-80% Polypropylene, 20-25% polyethylene, 4-5 year photolife, 4" diameter, 36" long, 5/8" nominal mesh size, 50 ga. strand thickness minimum. Bamboo stakes shall be natural finish 8-10mm diameter and 48" in length. Diameter measurement shall be made 1" inside knuckle from the largest end, as the stakes will be driven into the ground. Tensile strength must be equal to that of Tsling Cane. Deliver to the Slate Creek Ranger Station, HC 01, Box 70, Whitebird, Idaho 83554. Vendor MUST give 24 hours notice prior to delivery. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. Proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will NOT be issued. RFQ R1-17-01-009 is issued as a Request For Quotations. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-21.
