Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a WRITTEN SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ISSUED. This solicitation/synopsis is being issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ) # 1CO-0291. This solicitation/synopsis and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 19-23. This requirement is being solicited as a 100% small business set-aside under North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) 33421 having 1000 or less employees. The Government intends to make a single award to the offeror offering the lowest price. The Federal Bureau of Prisons is seeking quotes for: (1) Nortel M-5216B Digital Telephone (Black, New only), Quantity: 150 Each, (2) Nortel 5316 Digital Telephone (Black, New only), Quantity: 50 Each, (3) Nortel 522 22 button Add-on Module (Black), Quantity: 25, (4) 6 Conductor Silver Satin Line Cord, 14, ft, Quantity: 50 Each, (5) 6 Conductor Silver Satin Line Cord, 25 ft., Quantity: 50 Each, (6) Handset Cord, Black, 12 ft., Quantity: 50 Each, (7) Handset Cord, Black, 25 ft., Quantity: 50 Each, (8) Double Footstand (Black), Quantity: 25 Each, and (9) Single Footstand (Black), Quantity: 25 Each. All equipment supplied must be Nortel Meridian Business Sets (MBS) due to proprietary equipment and signaling requirements. No substitutions will be accepted. Quotations shall be FOB Destination (include shipping costs). Equipment shall be delivered to: Federal Bureau of Prisons, 320 First Street, NW, Rm. 112, Washington, DC 20534. Delivery shall be no later than 30 days after receipt of notification of award, unless otherwise negotiated. FAR Provision at 52.212-1, Instruction to Offerors Commercial, applies to this acquisition. A copy of the provision at 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications Commercial Items must be included with offers. FAR Clause at 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions Commercial Items, applies to this acquisition. FAR Clause at 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders Commercial Items, applies to this acquisition. FAR Provision at 52.211-6, Brand Name or Equal applies to this acquisition. Quotes shall be received no later than 12:00 p.m. Eastern Standard Time on February 16, 2001.
