6540-01-442-1950, Sunglasses, Matte Chrome plated NI-Silver Base Metal w/bayonet, plastic-tipped temples, double bar frame w/special eyewire-shaped front, lenses are gray 3 plano, 6 diopter front base curve, ophthalmic lenses of polycarbonate plastic material w/15% daylight transmittance, abrasion resistant coated, w/spectacle case. Annual quantities are estimated at 15,000 units for a Base Ordering Period and (2)two (1)one year options (45,000 units estimated over 3 years). This is an unrestricted acquisition. The resultant contract will utilize electronic data interchange (EDI). The contractor shall be required to receive delivery orders placed against this contract electronically through DSCP's Electronic Procurement Program Interface (EPPI). DSCP uses American National Standards Institute (ANSI) X12 standards for EDI. Use of a value added network (VAN) might be required. Offerors who do not have EDI capabilities with DSCP will be required to test and successfully execute transmission of electronic purchase orders before contract award. Failure to test successfully within 30 days after a written request by the Contracting Officer may result in the rejection of the offeror's proposal.
