Description

The Denver Service Center (DSC) of the National Park Service is responsible for construction contracts for the National Park Service. An electronic commerce demonstration is scheduled for February 21, 2001 at 10:00 A.M. in the theatre located in the Visitor's Center at Independence Park. This demonstration is being conducted by the National Business Ceneter and is open to all prospective contractors desiring to conduct business with the National Park Service for construction projects. The demonstration will help familiarize area firms with the NPS approach to electronic commerce. Using IDEAS (Interior Department Electronic Acqusition System) DSC will post procurement information, including notices, solicitations, specifications, drawings, and amendments to the National Business Center, the Department of the Interior's website (http://ideasec.nbc.gov). Prospective contractors will be able to go directly to this site or through hyperlinks with http:www.FedBizops.gov or cbdnet.access.gpo.gov and view or download the documents needed to prepare their proposal. The result is wider opportunities for competition and bottom-line savings in cost and time for all participants when compared to traditional solicitation methods.
