Description

The US Geological Survey intends to procure as a COMMERCIAL ITEM (1) One previously owned combination unit Water Truck / Rig Tender: where the truck is equipped with a minimum: 400 hp engine; jake-brake; 13 speed transmission; variable speed PTO governor; dual rear axles minimum capacity of 40,000 lbs.; 4.11 or 3.90 ratio rear end; front axle minimum capacity of 18,000 lbs.; minimum wheel base(front axle to center of trunnion)of 168 inches; AC/heat; side view mirrors; air-ride seat. And, where the water tank capacity is a minimum of 2,000 gallons; tank is baffled inside; interior is coated; equipped with capacity gauges,water drains,and top fill spout; water tank bed and frame is equipped with a crane base; front,rear, and vertical tool boxes and storage cabinets; a 200 gallon diesel tank with an electric pump; mid-deck stakes; and side stake pockets AND/OR (1) One previously owned Three Axle Tractor: equipped with a fifth-wheel hitch; a minimum 400 hp engine; jake-brake; heavy duty frame (double frame); a minimum wheel base (front axle to center of trunnion) of 246 inches; equipped with a dual rear axle minimum capacity of 40,000 lbs.; 4.11 or 3.90 ratio rear end; front axle capacity of minimum 14,000 lbs.; minimum 13 speed transmission; variable speed PTO governor; AC/heat; side view mirrors; air-ride seat. This procurement is a 100 percent small business set-aside. SIC Code is 3537; NAICS is 333924 with corresponding size standard of 750 employees. Offerors should indicate business size relative to the SIC Code. FOB Origin. Delivery by March 31, 2001. The Government contemplates a firm fixed-price contract and may award without discussion. Award will be made based on best overall value to the Government. Quotations will be evaluated on the following criteria: (a) conformance to minimum specifications (b) quality of equipment and components (c) past performance to provide similar equipment (d) availability of replacement parts (e) warranty (g) price. All responsible sources may submit a quotation which shall be considered by the agency. Responses to this RFQ should reference RFQ01WRQQ0024.
